This post will be discussing the latest Star Wars movie: The Force Awakens. And I’ll not restrain myself from spoilery topics.
This will in part be a review I guess, but will in large part be my experience with the Star Wars universe, my take-away from the current one, things I liked, etc. It’ll be the first of several posts talking about The Force Awakens.
No, I’m not talking about Ash Williams’ BOOM-STICK. I’m talking about something else.
The Deadites are pretty creepy in the Evil Dead movies. Once summoned, they can possess people (usually the dead) to become terrifying and hard-to-kill creatures who enjoy not only torturing the living, but creating even more Deadites.
But after they’ve been summoned.

I’ve been supplementing my viewing of the Starz Network‘s excellent Ash vs Evil Dead show by listening to the entertaining Ash vs Evil Dead vs Bubba vs Catfish podcast, where Bubba and Catfish (they have real names, allegedly) recap and discuss the gonzo-gory show.
Each episode of the podcast features a special Bubba vs Catfish segment where a proposition relating to the show is debated. Each of the hosts will present their case, for or against the proposition, with the loyal listeners voting (typically via Twitter) to settle the argument.
This post will be discussing elements from HBO’s Game of Thrones. Should you not be caught up with the show, I can’t be held responsible for spoilers if you keep reading.

King Joffrey Baratheon, first of his name, king of the First Men, and the Andals [, and the Rhoynar -this always gets dropped on the show], a name that will live in Game of Thrones infamy.
I recently made a post about the Starz show Ash vs Evil Dead, which furthers the adventures of Ashley J. Williams, reluctant Deadite-fighter from the Evil Dead movies. In that post, I mentioned that the only movie necessary to enjoy the television show would be 1987’s Evil Dead II.
I had wanted to say more about that, as well as the tricky continuity between Evil Dead, Evil Dead II, and Evil Dead III (okay, it’s actually known as Army of Darkness. But I like calling it Evil Dead III. I also like the alternative also-not-the-title Medieval Dead.)
Weed Plus Weird? Not Good.
Currently on the Starz network, Saturday night programming delightfully has Ash vs Evil Dead: the charming tale of a somewhat unambitious and bumbling character who happens to have some problems. Many of those problems are related to his personality, but the major one would be his being the target of terrifying forces of evil.

The movie I’m going to talk about has been out for ages, so the speed (and timeliness) of my reviews clearly aren’t faster than a speeding bullet. But since next year will be featuring a new Superman movie (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) it’s not really a bad time to talk about that Zod-murdering Superman.
This post will be talking about the patriarch of the Lannister family from HBO’s Game of Thrones. There will be plot discussions that will include the first five seasons of the show, so if you are not up to date, I’ll be spoiling things for you. SPOILING THINGS!
I once spoiled the ambitions of the Reynes. They were from Castamere, you know.
I usually confine my Game of Thrones pontificating to what’s been seen on the show, but occasionally I stray into details from the source material, A Song of Ice and Fire. This is one of those occasions.
I won’t be spoiling future book details (in general, there is less danger of that until The Winds of Winter gets published) but I’ll be bringing up some book elements omitted from the show to give a slightly different perspective to the Old Lion, the uncrowned might-as-well-be-king Tywin Lannister.

Hardhome was an amazing episode, possibly the best of the series, and if you’re not caught up I’d hate to spoil you on that experience.

Hardhome featured a battle involving the undead army controlled by the mysterious and mystical Others. The legendary White Walkers directed their wights to attack the fortified Free Folk fishing village of Hardhome, and corpses did so en masse, tearing through the Wildling and Night’s Watch defenders. To make matters worse, the human casualties were resurrected to join Team White Walker. Spoooooky!
I Can't Possibly Be Wrong All the Time
