Arya in the Lost and Found
I almost entitled this post Losing Arya because her story is all about relentless loss. Usually she’s losing something or someone close to her.
Or people are losing her.
This post will be discussing two children of Lord Eddard “I love that bastard” Stark and Lady Catelyn “I hate that bastard” Stark.
No, I’m not talking about Stark bastards, I’m talking about two of the legitimate children, Arya and Bran.
Arya: Seven Hells! Sansa’s always been tall!
Bran: She’s like another Hodor.
And as usual, I’ll be spoiling plot points from HBO’s Game of Thrones, so if you’re not caught up, I can’t be held responsible if Arya stabs you in the face with a spoiler. Like she does.

Also, I’ll be discussing the Sansa Stark/Theon storyline from season 5. Since Sansa’s situation is a sensitive topic, I wanted to give a heads up on that as well.

I often come across Game of Thrones articles that are either keeping some kind of score in regards to how the noble houses are doing in the “game” or otherwise sorting all the characters into winners or losers. I’ve never really done that, but now that we’re into 2016 and just months away from Season 6, I thought it would be a reasonable topic to blog about.
This has happened before. This will happen again.
The year is nearly over, so at some point I’ll look at how my blog performed in 2015 (I don’t think I’m using the word “performed” correctly, but when has improper language usage stopped me?)
For the second year in a row, I hit my blogging goal of putting out a Game of Thrones-related post every week before the new season started up, and every two weeks after the season ended. (Except in rare instances, I don’t blog about Game of Thrones during the season. I’m too busy reading everyone else’s recaps.)

I’ve been supplementing my viewing of the Starz Network‘s excellent Ash vs Evil Dead show by listening to the entertaining Ash vs Evil Dead vs Bubba vs Catfish podcast, where Bubba and Catfish (they have real names, allegedly) recap and discuss the gonzo-gory show.
Each episode of the podcast features a special Bubba vs Catfish segment where a proposition relating to the show is debated. Each of the hosts will present their case, for or against the proposition, with the loyal listeners voting (typically via Twitter) to settle the argument.

I once spoiled the ambitions of the Reynes. They were from Castamere, you know.
I usually confine my Game of Thrones pontificating to what’s been seen on the show, but occasionally I stray into details from the source material, A Song of Ice and Fire. This is one of those occasions.
I won’t be spoiling future book details (in general, there is less danger of that until The Winds of Winter gets published) but I’ll be bringing up some book elements omitted from the show to give a slightly different perspective to the Old Lion, the uncrowned might-as-well-be-king Tywin Lannister.
