This post will be discussing the latest Star Wars movie: The Force Awakens. And I’ll not restrain myself from spoilery topics.

KyloRenBack

This will in part be a review I guess, but will in large part be my experience with the Star Wars universe, my take-away from the current one, things I liked, etc. It’ll be the first of several posts talking about The Force Awakens.

It’s January (hello 2016), so I went through my social media feeds and grabbed all the MicroStories I’d tweeted during the month of December (long ago in ye olde 2015.)

As a reminder, these represent story-essences composed using no more than 129 characters (so I could tweet them with the hashtag #MicroStory.)

Usually, I only tweet Science Fiction and Fantasy #MicroStories. December was pretty much no exception. (Except for a handful of very-micro stories that I wrote.)

For really great #MicroStory action, please follow @MicroSFF, the Twitter account that inspired me to participate in this minimalist writing exercise. That feed puts out great science fiction and fantasy MicroStories all the time.

This has happened before. This will happen again.

The year is nearly over, so at some point I’ll look at how my blog performed in 2015 (I don’t think I’m using the word “performed” correctly, but when has improper language usage stopped me?)

For the second year in a row, I hit my blogging goal of putting out a Game of Thrones-related post every week before the new season started up, and every two weeks after the season ended. (Except in rare instances, I don’t blog about Game of Thrones during the season. I’m too busy reading everyone else’s recaps.)

This post will be talking about Game of Thrones, and therefore if you are not up to date on the show — spoilers abound.

Spoiler alert, I’ll be talking about the weather.

Lisa (my wife) and I have a friend named Heather who is very talented. She can dance, she can sing. She acts. Heather’s cool.

Back in 2011 (don’t hold me to that year, but I’m pretty sure) Heather told us some exciting news. She had a part in a local production of a musical we might be interested in seeing.

Evil Dead the Musical.

This post will be discussing plot points and character backgrounds from HBO’s excellent series, Game of Thrones. Therefore, if you’re not caught up on the show (or haven’t read the books) and you read this and get spoiled, you have no one to blame but yourselves. So there.

Blame, blame. Everyone’s so quick to assign blame. Like me! I do that!

Season Five wrapped up with the death of Stannis Baratheon, the last of the original royals in the War of the Five Kings.

No, I’m not talking about Ash Williams’ BOOM-STICK. I’m talking about something else.

The Deadites are pretty creepy in the Evil Dead movies. Once summoned, they can possess people (usually the dead) to become terrifying and hard-to-kill creatures who enjoy not only torturing the living, but creating even more Deadites.

But after they’ve been summoned.

It’s December, so I went through my social media feeds and grabbed all the MicroStories I’d tweeted during the month of November.

Hey, spoilers for the first five episodes of Ash vs Evil Dead, and the movies that have inspired the show. You’ve been warned.

Vivian

SPOILERS!

I’ve been supplementing my viewing of the Starz Network‘s excellent Ash vs Evil Dead show by listening to the entertaining Ash vs Evil Dead vs Bubba vs Catfish podcast, where Bubba and Catfish (they have real names, allegedly) recap and discuss the gonzo-gory show.

Each episode of the podcast features a special Bubba vs Catfish segment where a proposition relating to the show is debated. Each of the hosts will present their case, for or against the proposition, with the loyal listeners voting (typically via Twitter) to settle the argument.

This post will be discussing elements from HBO’s Game of Thrones. Should you not be caught up with the show, I can’t be held responsible for spoilers if you keep reading.

I Am The King! And I’ll do as I like. Including holding the blogger responsible for spoilers!

King Joffrey Baratheon, first of his name, king of the First Men, and the Andals [, and the Rhoynar -this always gets dropped on the show], a name that will live in Game of Thrones infamy.
