This post will be talking about Star Wars: The Force Awakens, so if you’ve not seen the movie… I don’t even know why you’re here.

This is the seventh and final installment in a series of posts where I’ve talked about various elements of the movie (mostly positively, I’m a positive guy) and used a well-known negative review from the Huffington Post as a springboard for my own thoughts.

This time, I’ll present a few general criticisms of the movie that I’ve heard, and then I’ll talk about the things I didn’t like. Please understand, I really enjoyed the movie, and I’ve seen it multiple times. I’ll see it again. But I think it’s fair to discuss weaknesses in the movie. I’m completely comfortable with people taking issue with what I say, either in support of the movie or as complaints. It’s all good.

With the recent announcement of Justin Lin as director of the third Star Trek movie in the JJ Abrams reboot series, I’ve noticed a resurgence of dissatisfaction among some Star Trek fans with the reboot series in general.

I don’t think that their complaints are particularly invalid (maybe some of their complaints) but a recent image that’s been circulating had me metaphorically shaking my head.

It’s Halloween and why not have a post about shambling, walking corpses that feed on the living? Or angry, adrenaline’d infected that attack the healthy? Or things that kind of fall into that category of scary? Zombies and quasi-Zombies.

Recently on Facebook, one of my friends commented that they were so bored with zombies, that zombies weren’t interesting. I understand there’s a certain amount of Zombie Saturation Syndrome going on right now, but I think stories featuring elements of the relentless, indefatigable, cannibalistic undead aren’t necessarily played out.

And since I enjoy talking about zombies, I thought I’d put finger to keyboard and do just that.
