This weekend will feature a new episode of Game of Thrones, the fifth episode of the eighth and final season. For fun, I’ve put together ten yes-or-no questions that will be answered during the episode. (I feel this is non-spoilery, since I don’t know what’s going to happen.)
No one is required to play, or even tell me their answers/predictions. There is no prize for getting all of them right, or all of them wrong. The reward is just in playing along.
For the upcoming episode …
1) Will Robb Stark be referenced? (I am the final judge on this. If Sansa says “when Stark men march south, they don’t come back” – I won’t count that. I need something more concrete.)
2) Will Tywin Lannister be referenced?
3) Will Bronn kill anyone?
4) Will we see Gregor Clegane without his helmet?
5) Will the name “Gregor” be mentioned?
6) Will we unambiguously see one of the Faceless Men, not counting Arya?
7) Will Cersei drink something that we (I mean me) will reasonably assume is wine?
8) Will all three Lannister siblings be alive at the end of the episode?
9) Will we see Podrick Payne in the episode?
10) Will you be satisfied by the episode? (Everyone automatically gets credit for this question, but you should answer honestly, and then grade your answer honestly yourself.)
Feel free to hope that your answers to the above questions come true. Get excited when something happens that you guessed would happen, get mad when the writers do other than you want. (This is a fan go-to move, really.)
Sometime after the episode airs, I will come back to this post and make a link to where the official adjudicating-by-me answers are.
Best wishes and good luck!
UPDATE: The adjudicated answers to the above questions can be found HERE.
(Comments are always welcome. Super welcome! But if you want to talk spoilery Game of Thrones talk with me (also welcome) I’d invite you to visit my Safe Spoilers page on my backup blog. That way my non-book-reading friends won’t be shocked with foreknowledge.)

If you liked this fun activity, thank you! I do a lot of writing about Game of Thrones. I have all of my related articles on my handy-dandy Game of Thrones page should you want to read more but don’t want to navigate around my site.

Gregor Clegane being the anti-Quaithe is a great reference.
