This post will be discussing various royal characters in the HBO show Game of Thrones. How spoilery could this post be? Probably very. If you are behind on your show watching, let me first call you a clown, and then request that you watch the show and come back.

Margaery

Yes. Do go watch me win.

Game of Thrones takes place primarily in the Seven Kingdoms, where in the show’s early seasons various kings contested for the Iron Throne (while other kings attempted to secede from the multi-kingdom hegemony.) I’ve already talked about those dudes, how few of them bothered to accessorize with crowns, and how most died.

Kings are kind of cool to talk about, I guess, but I don’t want to ignore the many queens in Westeros, who engage in their own power plays.

This post will be talking about my favorite little murder-angel, Arya Stark. This post will also be spoilery if you’re not up-to-date with Game of Thrones on HBO.

Someone’s not current on my adventures? What’s their name? I have a list.

Arya in the Lost and Found

I almost entitled this post Losing Arya because her story is all about relentless loss. Usually she’s losing something or someone close to her.

Or people are losing her.

This post will be discussing two children of Lord Eddard “I love that bastard” Stark and Lady Catelyn “I hate that bastard” Stark.

No, I’m not talking about Stark bastards, I’m talking about two of the legitimate children, Arya and Bran.

ABFlip

Arya: Seven Hells! Sansa’s always been tall!
Bran: She’s like another Hodor.

And as usual, I’ll be spoiling plot points from HBO’s Game of Thrones, so if you’re not caught up, I can’t be held responsible if Arya stabs you in the face with a spoiler. Like she does.

Hodor.

This post will be discussing plot details of Game of Thrones, so I respect the opinion of anyone not wanting to be spoiled and wants to stop reading now. (I’ll pretend that it’s fear of spoilers and not my torturous prose that’s sending you away…)

Theon1

“Torturous” prose? Seriously?

Also, I’ll be discussing the Sansa Stark/Theon storyline from season 5. Since Sansa’s situation is a sensitive topic, I wanted to give a heads up on that as well.

This post will be talking about Star Wars: The Force Awakens, so if you’ve not seen the movie… I don’t even know why you’re here.

This is the seventh and final installment in a series of posts where I’ve talked about various elements of the movie (mostly positively, I’m a positive guy) and used a well-known negative review from the Huffington Post as a springboard for my own thoughts.

For a longer explanation, please check out the first post in this series.

This time, I’ll present a few general criticisms of the movie that I’ve heard, and then I’ll talk about the things I didn’t like. Please understand, I really enjoyed the movie, and I’ve seen it multiple times. I’ll see it again. But I think it’s fair to discuss weaknesses in the movie. I’m completely comfortable with people taking issue with what I say, either in support of the movie or as complaints. It’s all good.

This post will be talking about Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In particular, plot points involving the characters from the previous Star Wars movies.

As the title suggests, this post is the sixth of a series of posts, dealing with a specific source of criticism of the movie. The full explanation can be found here.

Tell it to Kanjiklub!

As I explained previously, I’m planning on talking about various elements of Star Wars: The Force Awakens by examining the 40 allegedly unforgivable plot holes that Professor Seth Abramson recently published on the Huffington Post. Although it might seem as if I’m just a fanboy defending a movie I like (which is partly true)  I’m also hoping to explain some insights into the characters/elements that seem to have been wildly misunderstood by some. (By some, I mean Professor Seth Abramson.) (more…)

This post will be talking about the fifth season of Game of Thrones (and therefore the four preceding years too.) Some crazy stuff happened during Season 5, so if you are not up to date, this post will be a wee bit spoilery.

Jeyne-Poole

Jeyne Poole: Talk about spoilers… Sansa! Ease up on the lemoncakes. You’ll spoil your dinner.
Sansa Stark: I see I need to remind you once again that I’m beautiful and you Jeyne, you’re pretty. Boom.

I often come across Game of Thrones articles that are either keeping some kind of score in regards to how the noble houses are doing in the “game” or otherwise sorting all the characters into winners or losers. I’ve never really done that, but now that we’re into 2016 and just months away from Season 6, I thought it would be a reasonable topic to blog about.
