Daemon Targaryen: You are all cursed with me.
Viserys Targaryen: OR NOT!
Daemon: (Somehow, still cursed. Trust me.)

Hey, with House of the Dragon, the prequel/successor series to HBO’s Game of Thrones airing, I re-started my avocation of writing articles about the show for Watchers on the Wall, the Game of Thrones fan site.
My first article dealt with political issues brought up on the show: King Viserys had a problem, he had no male heir (which is a concern for the entrenched patriarchy of Westeros) and by default, his wild and rambunctious younger brother Daemon was next in line in succession (which was a concern for the king’s small council, who just did not like the idea of a King Daemon Targaryen administration.)
Look, I’m not going to give an in-depth recap of my article here – it’s free to read on the Watchers site:
This season, I hope to be putting out articles for each episode (I make no guarantees though) and in general they will not be spoilery for future events that I might reliably guess will be happening on the show (since I’ve read about the Targaryen Civil War in the source material – Fire and Blood by George RR Martin.) I’ll only be talking about aired episodes of House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones (although I can’t rule out mentioning things from the books, to add context to the show.)
If you do read the article, feel free to drop me a line, either on the Watchers site or here. (I know that they’d prefer people to engage there, but I am not making any requirements. I’m happy to chat here.)

(Comments are always welcome. Super welcome! But if you want to talk spoilery Game of Thrones talk with me (also welcome) I’d invite you to visit my Safe Spoilers page on my backup blog. That way my non-book-reading friends won’t be shocked with foreknowledge.)

If you liked this article, thank you! I have all of my Game of Thrones related articles on my handy-dandy Game of Thrones page should you want to read more but don’t want to navigate around my site.

I’ll need to come back to these later when I’ve watched the show. I was wary about venturing in due to how GOT ended, but I’ve heard from several sources that HOTD is quite good, so I’m willing to put myself out there and give it a chance 🙂

That’s great to hear. The new show is very good. Although it’s also controversial, FYI
