Or it will in a few days, on Sunday April 12th. Season Five Game of Thrones!
Wanted to thank everyone who visited my blog and checked out my various Game of Thrones related posts.
I’m relieved that the season is about to start up, not only because I want to enjoy another ten hours of A Song of Ice and Fire adaptation, but I can ease off on writing about the show.
Like last year, during this season I won’t be posting any of my weekly Game of Thrones articles. I’ll be too busy:
- watching YouTube reactions
- reading recaps
- listening to Game of Thrones podcasts. (So many Game of Thrones podcasts.)
Starting in July, I’ll try to put out two posts a month related to Game of Thrones, and in 2016 I’ll repeat my challenges from previous years and crank out a GoT post every week until the new season starts up.
I reserve the right to post something Game of Thrones related during my official hiatus. We’ll see.
I’m still occasionally tweeting out opinions from Sauron’s orcs who are watching Game of Thrones on the Giant Flaming Eye’s cable-enabled palantir. (Mordor uses Comcast for its internet access, obviously.) If interested, you can follow @GoTOrcs to see that happening (or follow me on @patman23, since I just retweet what the orcs tweet out. We have that special relationship.)
I’m up to 80+ articles on Game of Thrones (ranging from my too f&%#ing long essays down to themed-aggregations of tweets from those orcs who love the Starks) so this time next year, I feel confident I’ll have over 100 articles. I should really write a book.
Best regards, and I hope everyone enjoys the upcoming season.
Valar Morghulis, Valar Dohaeris.
(Comments are always welcome. Super welcome! But if you want to talk spoilery Game of Thrones talk with me (also welcome) I’d invite you to visit my Safe Spoilers page on my backup blog. That way my non-book-reading friends won’t be shocked with foreknowledge.)

I make no claims to the artwork, but some claims to the text. So there.
