Season 5 initiated a variety of changes in the political landscape of Westeros.
As the title suggests, this post will be talking about Game of Thrones. I’m going to assume that you’re all up to date on the series, which will be kicking off Season Six in a few weeks.
If you’re not caught up… I predict this post will contain spoilers.
Young Cersei: If you don’t stop singing “we’re off to see the wizard” – I predict that something terribly unfortunate will happen to you.
Prophecies are often an element in fantasy stories. It’s almost expected that someone is driving the action, either by trying to fulfill their destiny or by desperately trying to avoid their fate.
It’s April, so I went through my social media feeds and grabbed all the MicroStories I’d tweeted during the month of March. (It was a short month for me, since the last week of March had me vacationing in beautiful California. Sorry for not telling anyone…)

The second episode of Game of Thrones, the Kingsroad, is particularly poignant on rewatches. This was the last episode all of the Starks were in one place. The partings were very rough.
This post will be talking about one of the great noble houses of Westeros, in HBO’s Game of Thrones (the adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire.) And not just any noble house, I’ll be talking about the beleaguered and bullied Stark family.

This post (as the title suggests) will be talking generally about Game of Thrones and the people of the kingdom of the Iron Isles specifically. The Ironborn were largely absent from the show during season 5, so if you’re at least caught up with season 4 then this post still shouldn’t be all that spoilery.

For Christmas, I put on my wishlist the soundtrack for Hamilton, the hip-hop musical about the first Secretary of the Treasury in U.S. history. He happens to be on the $10 bill.

HBO recently released a trailer for the upcoming sixth season of Game of Thrones. There are a million trailer breakdowns and analyses already available, but I’ve already written and scheduled all of the Game of Thrones blog posts I was planning on writing leading up to season 6, but I didn’t want to miss out on talking about the trailer. (I just wasn’t going to kill myself getting all the screen caps and so on, immediately – I have a day job… and a family… anyway…)
What follows will be a non-spoilery analysis. By that I mean, I’ll be showing each scene from the trailer and making some observations based on the content of the frame. I’ve read the books, so I also have provided a SPOILERY analysis on my secret double-probation backup blog where I am more free with book spoilers and speculation.
